Add a Little Bit of Sweetness to Your Day


We all know that honey tastes great in tea, but have you experimented with trying it in other beverages. From hard cider, coffee, smoothies, and more. Honey can be a delicious addition to your favorite treats.

Bee Sting

1 bottle amber ale
1 bottle hard apple cider
2 teaspoons honey

Fill two glasses half way with the bottle of amber ale. Add one teaspoon of honey to each and then fill the glass the rest of the way with the hard apple cider. Gently stir and serve immediately. Serves two.


Iced Honey Latte

2 cups double-strength brewed coffee
1 cup milk
1/4 cup honey
2 cups crushed ice

Mix together the coffee, milk and honey in a large pitcher with a whisk until the honey is dissolved. Chill for at least one hour. Before serving, blend coffee mixture and ice in a blender until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately. Serves two.


Honey Berry Tea

2 cups freshly brewed green tea, chilled
1 pint fresh berries
1/4 cup honey
1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate

In a blender, combine the berries and honey and blend until smooth. Add orange juice concentrate and process until well blended. Stir mixture into cooled tea in a large pitcher. Serve immediately over ice. Serves two.


Summer Honey Smoothie

2 medium peeled bananas
1 cup fresh berries
2 cups milk
1 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup crushed ice cubes
Blend all the ingredients except the ice cubes in a blender. Add the ice and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Serves two.
